03 / CONNECT THE DOTS
A new database shouldnβt feel like a maze. Explore tables, inspect columns, and follow foreign keys in a visual map of your schema.
LOCAL IS A FEATURE
Your machine talks directly to your database. Your credentials live in the OS keychain. Your queries belong to you.
Read the security modelNative drivers. No cloud relay between you and your database.
No tracking of your queries, schemas, or how you work.
No sign-in screen standing between you and your data.
Reach your local database. Keep working without the internet.
THE SMALL THINGS ADD UP
Fewer detours. Fewer open apps. The everyday essentials are already part of your workspace.
A command palette that gets you to tables, queries, and actions without breaking stride.
Search your query history and keep your go-to SQL close with saved snippets.
Multiple connections, tabs, and split views. Compare without the window juggling.
Export results to CSV, JSON, Markdown, or SQL. Ready for whatever comes next.
Edit cells inline. Create and alter tables visually. Stay close to the data youβre working on.
SELECT what_you_need
FROM your_database;A considered dark theme or a fresh light one. With syntax that makes your SQL easy to read.

Find your flow βBUILT IN THE OPEN
MamaSQL is an independent, open-source project. Hereβs where itβs headed. These features are on the roadmap, not in the app yet.
Run saved queries on a schedule, with automatic exports and alerts when your results change.
See what changed, compare your scripts, and restore a previous version when you need it.
Extend your workspace with extra exporters, custom cell renderers, themes, and integrations.
Native connectors for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle alongside the engines you already use.
Query Snowflake and BigQuery from the same workspace as your local databases.
Explore MongoDB, Redis, and more with a navigable view of documents and keys.
Yes. MamaSQL is open-source under the MIT licence and free for personal and commercial use. No licence key, subscription, or account required.
PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQLite are supported. Wire-compatible engines include MariaDB, CockroachDB, and Amazon Redshift.
The native app connects directly to your database with no MamaSQL cloud relay and no telemetry. Remote databases receive the queries you send them. The Docker browser build uses its own local bridge for PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Yes. Thereβs no cloud account or sign-in dependency. As long as your database is reachable, you can keep working, including with a local SQLite file.
The native app is available for Windows. On macOS and Linux, run the browser build with Docker. See the download page for the available options.
Absolutely. Explore the source on GitHub, report an issue, suggest an improvement, or send a pull request. A star or sponsorship helps support the project, too.
